I recently became a proud owner of a beautiful relief art piece by Shilpa . It brought my love for Indian dance form and temple work together - especially since the Indian dance form was Bharatnatyam, which was something that I had loved and learnt in my childhood. Shilpa even customized the colors of the dancer for me! The art piece is so vivid that it transforms the the room completely, more so due to the 3D effect of the relief art. Shilpa also works with different mediums ( relief art, water colors, wood burning , etc ) - equally beautiful and innovative. I get the sense that it’s her passion for all things art that is reflected in all her art pieces. When Shilpa showed me some artwork she had been working on, I was immediately captivated by a one with a figure of a girl taking a walk on the beach at night. Inspired by a picture I had seen previously I requested if she could add stars to the night sky to the picture with the girl.

While incorporating my request, Shilpa went several steps ahead by adding the Chicago city skyline on the background with exquisite detail and result was exquisite and breathtaking. Looking at the picture brings a sense of tranquility, as it perfectly captures the ambience of walking in solitude on a beach under a starry night.

The art piece that I got is relief sculpture by Shilpa. This piece was customized so we could include a couple of features that we wanted to see more. I had seen Shilpa’s works before and had loved the way she brings out the the rocks and bridges. So we wanted both in our picture. Also we wanted a little more color . She did it the way we wanted it and the final product is simply beautiful. The different layers in the picture gives a very clear 3D effect .

Shilpa is a very dedicated artist and is very meticulous to details. She takes your input at every step . She sends in pictures and videos to show you if the work is coming out the way you imagined and makes any corrections that you ask her to do. She is multi talented , very creative and very enthusiastic person and has a true passion for art.

I had such a wonderful experience working with Shilpa and I love painting she created for me. I have a color theme to my room that’s mostly lilacs and periwinkles with a yellow accent color. It’s a very niche color scheme which makes it difficult to find art work for my room, so I turned to Shilpa for help. I showed her one of the paintings in my room so she could get an idea for the style I am going for and she helped guide me in picking the subject for my painting. I really wanted her to have the freedom in making me something that she feels suits my personality, and she did a wonderful job with it!

The story behind the castle is such a beautiful one of a man who wanted to build a caste for his wife because of how much he loved her, but ended up passing away before its completion. I love the powerful story to my painting because it’s more complex than just a random castle and it’s such a pleasure to explain to my friends who ask about the meaning behind the painting.

I can’t get over how breathtaking the painting is! I love that Shilpa emphasized the lilac colors and kept the yellows and grays muted, something that fit so perfectly into my room and was exactly what I asked for. The amount of detail in the stones and castle was even more than I expected, and I love the way each object pops out at you due to the relief aspect. She also found ways to add symbolism to my artwork without me even realizing it. For example, the time on the clock is the exact time I was born. Overall, I will be working with Shilpa again in the future because I want more of these paintings!
