Relief (derived from Latin word, “relevo”, meaning to raise) art is a form of sculpting in which figures are projected or raised from the supporting background surface. In other words it's an art of creating 3D elements on a 2D background.
These are ancient art forms practiced as “shilpa kala” (meaning sculpture art in Sanskrit) in Indian subcontinent.
I use different medium depending on the size, depth and theme of relief art project.
